Account Manager, Personal Care – Northeast/New Jersey (1743)
Our client, a global specialty chemical/ingredient company, is seeking an experienced Account Manager. This person would be responsible for growing the territory with existing accounts as well as bringing on new business.
Requirements: Someone out of a distributor, or formerly out of a distributor who has sold into the personal care market. A high-energy hunter.
- Ideally this person will have called on multiple levels within an organization.
- They will consider someone who has five years’ of personal care sales but has not had bench experience or a tech degree provided they’re selling specialty value added accounts and they’re very comfortable with that.
- Chemistry or science degrees are not required if the individual has relevant experience of specialty sales into personal care R&D departments.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience preferred.
- Personal qualities which include good presentation and listening skills, a high energy level, results orientation, diplomacy, creativity, perseverance, and persistence, as well as the ability to work independently and as a team member.
Location/Travel: Home-office based in the Northeast. Limited overnight travel. Primary territory will be NJ, DE, VA and MD.
